Anthony's Paper Craft Blog Hop Continues

Hello, today I am sharing my 3rd project in the Anthony's Paper Craft Blog Hop. If you are just joining us, some of the Design Team members are having a 4 week Christmas blog hop in August.

For today's project I decided I wanted to do a gift card holder. It seems like we have so many people to give gifts to and sometimes it's more appropriate to give a gift card. I am ok with that but I am always looking for a nicer way to give them.

For both I bought a gift card holder from the Silhouette Store. I liked it because you get this envelope with a gift card panel that goes inside.

For the first one I decided to use the Santa from Anthony's Paper Craft as my focal point. For him I stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto white cardstock and then used my colored pencils and a blender to smooth out some of the stroke lines. I chose the Memento ink as the blender I use is alcohol based therefore needed an alcohol safe ink. When I was done coloring I actually fussy cut this image out. I was pleasantly surprised how well I did!

For the second gift card holder I used Anthony's stamps from Christmas Set 2 for the present, the to and from, and to stamp 25th on the tag. For this Santa I used the stamp from Santa 2. For these stamps I also stamped with Memento and then used my Bic Markers to color them in. I really like how they came out. I colored Santa pretty much traditional but struggled on his gloves. I didn't want to leave them white as there was so much white already. If you Google Santa Claus he is represented in white, black and even green gloves. I opted for the green otherwise I thought the black would get lost in the black belt. Plus I thought bringing a 3rd color onto him was a good idea.

Don't forget that this is a blog hop so I have linked my team mates below. You will want to see what they have made for you this week.

Also a quick reminder: Anthony's Paper Craft is offering free shipping to my followers for the month of August on orders over $25, USA only. The code is freeship25 and expires August 31, 2018.

Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Love the shape of this GC holder! Gives you more room to
decorate. They are both lovely and I like the faux stitching
(I've done that myself here recently).
